What if Karl Ove Knausgaard’s My Struggle were written by a woman?:

What if My Struggle by the Norwegian writer Karl Ove Knausgaard were written by Carla Olivia Krauss of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Would we care as much?

I heard an interview with Knausgaard the other day and although My Struggle sounds interesting  I don't think I want to spend the years I have left reading a six-volume autobiography written by a man or a woman.
