Michael Savitz buys and sells used books. He doesn't read them. He browses the racks of thrift stores and library book sales using an electronic bar-code scanner. His software tells him the going price, on Amazon Marketplace, of the titles he scans, along with the all-important sales rank, so he knows the book's prospects immediately. He's in it strictly for the money and he makes a decent living.
