The Anti-Slavery Alphabet

 In 1846 Hannah and Mary Townsend, a pair of Quaker sisters, produced the Anti-Slavery Alphabet, a new way for the 26 letters to be taught . They were abolitionists and actively campaigned against domestic slavery in the United States.
