What Michiko Kakutani Talked About When She Talked About Books


Pulitzer prize winning New York Times book critic Michiko Kakutani has retired after 38 years. She has been described as brilliant and tough and, I think it's safe to say, she's the only NYT critic to be made into a verb. (“Kakuntanied,” verbal adj.: to fall victim to “the poison pen of America’s most powerful literary critic.”)
