A Korean “Comfort Woman” Tells Her Story


“Comfort women” were mostly Korean women victimized in a sprawling human trafficking operation conducted by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. Cartoonist Keum Suk Gendry-Kim was one of these women. She tells her story in a harrowing comic.
