The Guardian's 100 best books of the 21st century

Dazzling debut novels, searing polemics, the history of humanity and trailblazing memoirs. I have read only 13 of them. That's probably because I read a lot of Canadian authors like Helen Humphreys, Michael Crummey and Miriam Toews who are not on the international radar (though they should be).
But no J.M. Coetzee, Michael Ondaatje, Anne Tyler, Richard Ford, Emma Donaghue, Graham Swift, William Trevor? What's with that?
