“A place belongs forever to whoever claims it hardest, remembers it most obsessively… loves it so radically that he remakes it in his image.” - Joan Didion, The White Album
Slouching Towards Los Angeles: Living and Writing by Joan Didion’s Light edited by Steffie Nelson is a collection of original essays covering Didion's turf. Using the book as inspiration Curbed has assembled a selective interactive tour of the city as Didion knew it, from The Beverly Hills Hotel to the Hollywood Freeway.
If you're a Didion fan you'll enjoy it.
