Ernest Hemingway In Quarantine


In the summer of 1926 Bumby, the son of Ernest Hemingway and his wife Hadley, was diagnosed with whooping cough, a highly contagious respiratory illness, and the family was forced to hunker down in Antibes to ride it out. This is the story of how Ernest Hemingway was quarantined not only with his wife and sick toddler, but also his mistress. He actually took quite nicely to it.
