Not as good as a book - it makes a very poor doorstop.

Laura Jean McKay reads from The Animals in That Country
Wittgenstein wrote that “If a lion could speak, we could not understand him.” In her fierce debut novel, Australian Laura Jean McKay sets herself an extraordinary challenge: to represent animal communication in words. This dystopian novel by Laura Jean McKay is an exploration of human/animal communication that questions what it means to be human. I look forward to reading it.
