Cooking with Dante Alighieri



Valerie Stivers writes a column in the Paris Review called Eat Your Words. Recently she cooked with Dante Alighieri and talked about sin. She makes Italian-style fried eel with Vernaccia wine, scones with tree fruit and acorns, and an apple, taken straight from the tree of the knowledge, sweetened virtuously with honey.
